Labels, also known as stickers, are found in almost every facets of society, in every corner of the earth, and even in the sky!
From the time you check your baggage in, to the time you settle comfortably into your seat in that swanky jetliner, try to notice the labels/stickers being used around you!
Not only within the aircraft itself, you will also find that stickers are used outside of the aircraft.
More commonly found though are stickers in General Aviation (GA).
So, what is GA?
General aviation (GA) is all civil aviation operations other than scheduled flights and non-scheduled air transport operations for remuneration or hire. GA flying ranges from gliders and powered parachutes to corporate jet flights. It also covers a large range of activities, both commercial and non-commercial, including flying clubs, flight training, agricultural aviation, light aircraft manufacturing and maintenance.
Most of the world’s air traffic falls into this category.
GA in South East Asia has seen a resurgence of sorts, especially in the last 20 years. It is interesting to note that the Royal Thai Airforce was established in 1913, ten years after the Wright brothers made powered flight a reality in 1903!
Many people here are starting to realise that obtaining a Private Pilot’s License (PPL) is not as out of reach or as unaffordable as they think. The same goes with aircraft ownership, which has been growing steadily in this region.
Be it for decorative purposes or identification, stickers can be applied extensively, especially on the exterior of a light aircraft.
The more common form of the light aircraft is generally a single piston engine type, with a cabin that is unpressurised. They can fly up to 11,000ft, and are fairly easy to maintain.
Usually, silkscreen printed stickers on PVC material are good enough for use on the outside of these aircrafts.
Silkscreen labels are weather proof and long lasting.
Central Label has been supplying labels to the aviation industry since 2003.
From the big boys like Singapore Airlines, to private GA operators like The Johor Flying Club, we are able to produce and supply quality aviation labels.
